Blessed to Be a Blessing

Jul 5, 2026

The sermon explored the dangerous tension between blessing and forgetfulness, drawing from Deuteronomy 8 and 1 Peter 2. We examined how prosperity—whether material or spiritual—can quietly lull us into forgetting God, the very source of every good gift. Through Israel's wilderness journey and the early church's identity as exiles, we discovered that the more blessed we become, the easier it is to drift from dependence on God. The message challenged us to remain spiritually awake in seasons of comfort, remembering that we are sojourners passing through this world, blessed not for our own sake but to be a blessing to others.
