Walking with Jesus Introduction

The sermon explored Mark 1:1 and the three names packed into that single opening verse -- Jesus, Christ, and Son of God. Rather than rushing past these familiar words, we slowed down and examined what each name actually means, where it comes from, and what it cost. The central declaration of the morning was this: the good news of the gospel is not first and foremost a program, a philosophy, or a set of requirements -- it is a person, and that person has a name.

Familiarity, even the kind born out of love and devotion, can wear the edges off words that ought to stop us in our tracks. This series, Walking with Jesus, is an invitation to see those words freshly and to know the one they describe more deeply.
