God in the House

The sermon explored Mark 2:1-12, the account of a paralytic man lowered through a roof by four faithful friends into the presence of Jesus. Through this passage, we examined the authority of Jesus as the Son of Man to forgive sins, a claim that provoked the scribes and that God designed as evidence to ground our faith in Christ. Far from being merely informational, this passage calls us to respond personally to the one who has both the power and the willingness to forgive all who come to him in faith.
