When Faith Grows Thin
Aug 16, 2026 • John Harris
The sermon explored the opening verses of Mark chapter 1, focusing on John the Baptist's role as a witness pointing to Jesus. We examined what it means to trust a Savior we cannot see, and why that trust is not a leap in the dark but a step onto solid ground. For many of us, faith can grow thin and quiet over time, not because someone argued us out of it, but because life gets heavy, seasons get hard, and the house gets quiet. Mark opens his gospel by showing us that we are not the first people asked to trust Jesus without seeing him, and he gives us real reasons why that trust holds.
