"You Are the Man!"

The sermon explored how God's grace disrupted David's sinful descent after his adultery with Bathsheba and murder of Uriah. We saw that grace is not merely a warm, comforting concept—it's a disruptor that actively intervenes in our lives. Through the prophet Nathan, God exposed David's sin, revealed his desperate need for grace, and began a painful but necessary healing process. This case study of grace in action shows us that while grace releases us from condemnation, it doesn't remove us from consequences. Yet even in judgment, God's covenantal faithfulness remained, ultimately pointing us to Jesus, who would bear the full weight of sin that we might go free.
