End of the Road

This sermon explored two wilderness paths available to us all: the narrow path of obedience and the broad path of rebellion. David's path, though filled with doubt and danger, was marked by faith-filled trust, acting on God's promises, and patient waiting. Saul's path, despite outward religious observance, was characterized by doubt-filled fear, self-preservation, and remorse without repentance. The message challenged us to examine the "guardrails" in our own lives—those patterns that keep us on whichever path we're walking—and to turn our eyes back to Jesus, who invites us not merely to feel sorry for our sins, but to repent and find freedom in His forgiveness.
