How the Mighty Have Fallen

The sermon explored one of the most difficult passages in Scripture—the tragic end of King Saul's life and the fall of Israel to the Philistines. Through this "9-11 moment" for ancient Israel, we witnessed both the hard shout of God's justice and the soft whisper of His grace. The sermon revealed how David's response to devastating news models for us what it means to trust God even when His ways don't make sense, to love our enemies, and to honestly bring our pain before Him through the biblical practice of lament.
