Kindness That Comes Looking

The sermon explored how God's kindness actively pursues us in our brokenness and hiding places, not because we've earned it, but for the sake of His Son, Jesus Christ. Just as Mephibosheth—a "dead dog" by his own admission—was welcomed to David's table, we are invited to God's table not after we're fixed, but exactly as we are. This kindness didn't come because of anything in Mephibosheth, but because of a promise made about someone the king loved. Similarly, we are welcomed for Christ's sake alone, and that ground will always hold.
