In Remembrance

The sermon explored Jesus' prayer in John 17, where He repeatedly asks the Father to "glorify" Him—not for self-exaltation, but so that through His crucifixion, the true nature of God's saving love could be revealed. Glory means showing something as it truly is, and the cross reveals the greatest treasure—God's Son—willingly giving His life for our salvation. This passage leads us naturally to communion, where we actively remember what Christ has done and who we are because of Him.
