The Heart of Worship

The sermon explored the profound truth that worship is far more than a Sunday morning activity—it's the fundamental orientation of our hearts toward God. Through David's journey of bringing the ark to Jerusalem, we discovered that authentic worship requires us to go low in humility so that God might be lifted high. The tragic death of Uzzah and David's subsequent response teach us that worship must be both heartfelt AND reverent, emotional AND truthful. Ultimately, we learned that our disordered worship can only be reordered through the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ, who paved the way for God's presence to dwell not just among us, but within us.
