A relationally driven, high energy summer camp for kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Each morning, campers arrivals were met by counselors and CITs. After some time with their counselors in their cabins, all campers gathered in the big room for "Big Group" time. Here they did cheers, heard from team captains, listened to Mrs. Brandie for teaching of God's word, challenges, and the Service Project.
Each day, the teams worked hard a earning points. At the end of each day, the team with the most points wins the day while the other team has to pay a forfeit. The team leaders are the unfortunate one to pay to price. This year we had some very memorable forfeits.
The Crafts and Science sessions allowed the campers the opportunity to learn and experience new things. Craft projects taught the campers some fun new concepts while the Science sessions offered exciting new knowledge.
Teaching is key at our camp. We believe that God is sovereign and that Jesus is Lord of all. We want our campers to learn of the precious gift from God by hearing the gospel. Here is a perfect example of how we engage the campers and tell them about this good news!
Each day, the game master held competitions in the outdoor field. These games were high energy, competitive, and full of fun!
"Steal the Bacon", "Typhoon", "Cross Fire", "Noodle Tag", "Basketball" and "Water Day"
At the beginning of the week of camp, many campers and counselors were anxious and uncertain of how the week might play out. By the end of the week, all the campers and counselors were sad to see it ending. The counselors ran alongside the buses as they left, waving to the campers, in hopes they will return next year!
