Grace Community Church is a family of diverse members woven together by Jesus into a beautiful message of faith, hope and love. One of the amazing privileges of being a part of God’s family is the opportunity to work together to make a difference in the lives of people. Whether they live across the street or across the ocean, every person on this earth experiences real fears, asks real questions, and has very real longings for significance, purpose and meaningful relationships. Furthermore, hidden beneath the surface of their daily emptiness, people of all backgrounds desperately need to know the good news of Jesus Christ, for He alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no one comes to God except through Jesus.
Thanks be to God who in Christ Jesus has brought us to Himself and is leading us upward in victory and onward in our mission. Though our lives are messy, God is weaving our mess into His message of redemption, healing and hope. By His grace and power, God is spreading the fragrance of His son Jesus through us to people everywhere (2 Corinthians 2:14). Each member of the body is essential. Each color adds to the array of beauty. Each thread in the tapestry plays its part. Together we are His creation. Together we are the aroma of Christ. Together we are making an eternal difference in the lives of people everywhere. This is who we are. This is what we do. Let us celebrate this Sunday the mission we are on together and the important part each one of us plays in spreading the good news of Jesus to all people.
